Why should you take this course?

I created the Website 123: Planning, Assembly and Marketing your website based on years of working with my clients. Over the years of building websites and consulting with clients I found similar questions and issues that came up with almost every potential client. Many people are very eager to get a website up and going on the web for a variety of reasons, and then when the details start being extracted there is not enough information to actually start building the site.

So in an effort to help eager website owners I created a class that will help every owner conceptualize their website, save money along the way, and learn what questions need to be asked up front before the job even begins.

1. Planning Your Website

The first class is about Planning your website. What do you need to think about when you are planning your website? There is actually many things you need to consider in planning including everything from content, to your target audience to five years done the road. Being a smart website owner means you will think ahead and consider all the possibilities so you won't have to rebuild your website in 2 years because you can't expand it or grow with it. Planning will definitely save money and frustration down the line.

2. Pulling Together Your Website Assets

The second class is about how to assemble your website assets or elements into properly functioning website while considering the various options of how to build it. Whether you want to try to build it yourself or you want to hire someone, understanding how to showcase your content and make it easy to navigate for your users is just as important as how the website looks and is designed. This class will help you understand how to organize your content and find the best website platform for your specific needs and how to hire a website designer or builder.

3. Marketing Your Website

The final class is the marketing of your website. I strongly believe that you must have your website in proper order including be search engine optimized from the beginning of your website launch. I tell students not to bother with social media or paid advertisements until their website is built to it's full potential. Marketing and social media are to be used to drive traffic to your websites where you can capture their information. If your website is not complete or not functioning properly then why would it be ready to send traffic to? I give out lots of ideas on how to use social media with your specific type of business or website.

Finally and last but not least, you also receive a full hour consultation with me, one-on-one. this is a $70.00 value. As I tell students the more information you have ready for the consult, the more I can help you get going or revamp your website.
